Tigers Open 2024 Season By Hosting Doubleheader

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers are set to open the 2024 season by hosting a doubleheader on Saturday, January 13 against Brown and The Citadel. The match against the Bears is slated for 12:00 p.m. and the match against the Bulldogs is set for 5 p.m., both matches will be live streamed.
The matches will not only mark the first of the season but will also be head coach Brandon Wagner’s first spring matches for the Tigers since taking over the program in the summer of 2023. Clemson welcomes back five returners in Ryuhei Azuma, Matt Pitts, Max Smith, Trey Stinchcomb and Trey Whitaker. The program also welcomes six newcomers, four made their Clemson debut in the fall and the remaining two will play in their first set of matches for the Tigers on Saturday.
The last time the Tigers competed against Brown was in 2013 as Clemson has a 2-0 series streak against the Bears. Against the Bulldogs, the Tigers have won the last 29 matches against The Citadel, the most recent win was in the 2023 season.
