CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson women’s tennis team begins its fall season on Friday at the Debbie Southern Fall Classic hosted by Furman University. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and conclude with matches that begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
This weekend’s tournament will be the first of seven competitions that Clemson athletes will compete in this fall before the team season begins.
The Tigers will have seven players compete this weekend, highlighted by the No. 77 ranked singles player Cristina Mayorova. The Spanish junior played the majority of last season from Court 1, earning two nationally ranked victories.
Head Coach Christy Lynch is entering her third season at the helm of the program, and is looking to build upon the team’s promising 2022 season. The Tigers return all but one of their players for the 2022-23 campaign.
