Chekhlystova Moves on to Qualifying Round of the All-American Championships

Cary, N.C. – Sofiya Chekhlystova found success on the second day of the pre-qualifying round of the ITA All-American Championships on Sunday. 
 
Chekhlystova defeated Midori Castillo of Arizona 6-2, 6-4. She moved on to the third round of pre-qualifying singles and won her match against Sara Ziodato of Virginia 7-5, 6-4.
 
Chekhlystova advances on to the qualifying round of the tournament. She will compete against Melodie Collard of Virginia on Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.
 
Yvonne Zuffova’s consolation match against Vivian Ovrootsky of Texas was postponed to Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. due to rain.
