Brief History – The Wildcats and Bulldogs have not met since 2013 where Arizona tied the series between the two. Now the Cats aim to take the lead in the series after Friday’s match. Arizona has not dropped a single match to the Lumberjacks since their first meeting in 1989; the team looks to continue their sweep against NAU.
First Meeting – Had it not been for heavy rain in College Station, Texas, the Cats would’ve played their first match ever against the FAU Owls in the ITA Kickoff consolation match. Now they have that chance this weekend as they take on FAU in doubles Friday night and finish it off in singles on Saturday morning.
Up Next – After their triple-header at home, Women’s Tennis is on the road for three weeks. First, they are wheels-up to Honolulu, Hawaii for two matches against University of Hawaii on February 10 & 11 then on their way to the midwest for matchups against Texas Tech, Kansas and UCSB. Before they return home the Wildcats compete at the Blue Gray Classic in Montgomery, Alabama.
