THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s tennis’ Carol Lee is set to compete in the 2022 ITA All-American Championships this week. The prestigious tournament will be held at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C., Oct. 5-9.
Featuring the nation’s best 32 players, the main draw begins Wednesday and will be played best two of three sets with no-ad scoring.
Ranked No. 16 in the ITA Preseason Rankings, Lee led Georgia Tech from the No. 1 singles position last season. She compiled a 25-8 overall singles record, including a 16-5 ledger at the top spot. She climbed as high as No. 22 in the ITA singles rankings and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. Lee finished the season with an 11-8 record against ranked opponents.
Lee will open main draw action on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. facing Sarah Hamner of South Carolina.
