Cards Place Four on All-ACC Academic Team


GREENSBORO, N.C. – Four University of Louisville men’s tennis players have been named to the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Academic Team. Etienne Donnet, Sergio Hernandez, Natan Rodrigues and David Mizrahi represent the Cardinals on the 2022 ACC Academic Squad.
Donnet (Lyon, France) takes home his first All-ACC academic honor. The junior also earned All-ACC first team accolades after compiling a 16-11 overall singles record and a 14-10 mark in dual matches as the Cardinals’ top-seeded player. The sport administration major spent eight weeks in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings, finishing the season at No. 88. He was named ACC Co-Singles Player of the Week on March 8. Donnet also led the team with 12 doubles wins.
 
Hernandez (Medellin, Colombia) takes home his second straight All-ACC Academic award. The sport administration major finished his senior campaign with a 17-3 dual match singles record, playing primarily at No. 4 while also splitting time at Nos. 3 and 5. He also posted 10 doubles victories.
 
Rodrigues (Salvador Bahia, Brazil) earns his first ACC Academic honor after an impressive rookie campaign. The sport administration major was tied for second on the team with 17 singles victories, including an 8-2 mark against ACC opponents while splitting time between Nos. 4 and 5. He also tallied 11 doubles wins.
 
Mizrahi (New York, N.Y.) led the Cardinals with a 22-12 overall singles record including a 17-6 mark in dual matches at Nos. 5 and 6. The senior communication major collected eight wins against conference opponents.
 
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
 
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
