CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson doubles paring of juniors Samantha Buyckx and Jenna Thompson has been ranked No. 42 in the most recent ITA Rankings. The duo has been a huge part of the Tigers’ early season success, as Clemson has begun its season 9-1 for the first time since 2011.
The two Tigers are 10-4 overall and 6-1 in dual matches this season. Their success isn’t limited to doubles play, as Buyckx is 5-1 and Thompson is 6-0 in singles this spring. Buyckx/Thompson is one of the 12 ACC doubles tandems ranked in the top 50.
The Tigers are coming off their first win over rival South Carolina since 2015, and will be back in action on Sunday at Duckworth Family Tennis Facility when they host Coastal Carolina at 4 p.m.
