Bulldogs Conclude ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. – The Mississippi State women’s tennis team concluded their second tournament of the fall on Thursday.

Emmanouela Antonaki competed in the main draw consolation round where she took on Amelia Rajecki of North Carolina State. Rajecki and Antonaki played a close match with a lot of deciding points, but Rajecki defeated Antonaki 6-3, 6-3.

“Tough results for Emmanouela [Antonaki] today, but lots of close games and deciding points,” associate head coach Sachin Kirtane said. “I feel with more matches she will be fine. Proud of Emmanouela and Gia [Cohen] for representing the Maroon and White well at the biggest fall tournament of the season!”

The ITA All-American Championships was the second tournament of the fall that the Bulldogs took part in and the first for Antonaki.

The Bulldogs next action will be competing in the ITA Southern Regional in Baton Rouge, La. on Oct. 13-18.
