Brady Warms Up for US Open Return Hosting Babolat Clinic

Jennifer Brady tuned up for her US Open return sharing her skills with kids and media in New York City.

Long-time Babolat player Brady led a special on-court clinic at Court16 FiDi (Financial District) on Wednesday afternoon where she put a select group of media members through a practice session, provided tips for improving their game and let them experience the unsettling experience of facing her massive topspin forehand.

The 2021 Australian Open finalist Brady looked fit and struck smoothly throughout the clinic.

Following her media clinic, Brady conducted a clinic for young tennis campers and then held a question and answer session where she covered tennis and her comeback.

Reaching the US Open semifinals in 2020 and the Australian Open final in 2021, the 28-year-old American is playing with a Babolat Pure Aero.

Within months of reaching a career- high ranking of No. 13, Brady incurred a a stress fracture in her knee which needed surgery.

Previously planning for a comeback earlier this year, Brady’s plans were thwarted by a chronic foot injury. Brady beat former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko in Toronto earlier this month and pushed 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina to three sets.

With her Grand Slam comeback now scheduled for next week’s US Open, Brady is playing with a protected ranking after being unranked following two full years she was sidelined from the tour.

Coming back with a bang this year, five days ahead of the start of the US Open, she was the star of a Babolat event at Court16 FiDI, the innovative tennis venue in New York City that finds new ways of making tennis attractive for players from youngsters to pros.

Babolat CEO Eric Babolat, a long-time support of Court 16, joined Brady and Babolat staffers on site.
