Washington hosts Boise State, 4 pm | Live Stats and Video
SEATTLE – Boise State comes into town on Thursday this week as the Husky men’s tennis team has just the one home match before heading on the road for the next two weeks. Washington (3-1) hosts the Broncos (2-0) at the Nordstrom Tennis Center starting at 4 p.m.
The Huskies are coming off a 1-1 trip to Lexington, Ky. as part of ITA Kickoff Weekend. UW had its first setback of the season in a 4-2 loss to Notre Dame but then got a 4-2 victory over Liberty to return home on a positive note. Dzianis Zharyn and Cesar Bouchelaghem were 2-0 in singles play in Lexington, and Jim Hendrikx got the clinching singles win against Liberty.
The Broncos have played just two matches so far, a 5-2 win over Idaho State and a 7-0 win over Whitman. Last year, BSU was 13-11 on the year, falling in the Mountain West Championship quarterfinals to New Mexico. The Huskies earned a 5-2 win over Boise State in Seattle on Jan. 15 of 2022.
