ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Purdue men’s tennis team picked up several wins in the consolation draw of the Big Ten Fall Championship. Redshirt sophomore Daniel Labrador notched a pair of singles wins, while freshman Mujtaba Ali-Khan picked up victories in singles and doubles.
Newcomer duo Hassan Baroudi and Mujtaba Ali-Khan downed the split duo of Rudi Christiansen from Nebraska and Reece Yakubov from Ohio State.
Ali-Khan added to his early singles haul on the year with a 7-6(5), 6-3 win over Zachary Schwartz from Wisconsin.
Labrador went back-to-back wins over foes from Indiana in the singles consolation bracket. He topped Mack Rogers in straight sets 6-4, 6-1, before outlasting Nishanth Basavareddy 4-6, 6-2, 10-4.
