WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- The Purdue men’s tennis team will make its second road trek this Sunday, March 12 as they take on Denver at 2 p.m.
The Boilermakers are coming off a 13-day hiatus and a handful of competitive home matches, including a ranked match against Xavier. The doubles teams have continued their individual success as Tomasz Dudek/Daniel Labrador maintain the only record above .500. The pair have won three of their last four at No. 1.
In singles action, many of the Boilers are beginning to hit their mid-season stride. Mujtaba Ali-Khan and Michal Wozniak share a combined 11 wins with eight of those wins coming at No. 1, 2 and 3.
Dudek has also begun to see success as a solo player. He has won two of his last three matches at No. 5. His recent boost has helped the Boilermakers improve their record at No. 2, 3, and 5. Purdue has won a combined six wins in the last nine matches across the three positions.
Denver is one of three remaining teams in the Boilers non-conference schedule. This is only the second match road match of the spring, the Boilers are currently 0-1 away from Schwartz. Denver is currently sitting at .500 with a 6-6 record and will take on Idaho State before welcoming in Purdue. Denver is 4-2 at home and is 14-26 all-time against Big Ten opponents.
