West Lafayette- The Purdue men’s tennis team is hiking up to Ann Arbor this weekend for the fall season finale at the Big Ten Fall Championships. After a pair of events, the Boilermakers will look for a good showing in their first test against conference opponents, as a preview to the spring campaign.
The Boilermakers are fresh off a trip to Blacksburg in the Virginia Tech Halloween Clash. The three-day tournament led to the first doubles matches and wins for duos Julen Morgan and Tomasz Dudek and Mujtaba Ali-Khan and Hassan Baroudi.
Newcomer Daniel Labrador jumped out to a solid start in his Purdue career. The Clemson transfer is an even 4-4 in singles play through two tournaments and will get his first jab at Big Ten opposition, as will fellow newcomers Mujtaba Ali-Khan and Hassan Baroudi.
Purdue will open the Big Ten Fall Championships with the first round of doubles on Friday morning at 9 a.m. Live reults will be posted.
