GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Three Blue Devils continued their time at the Gator Fall Invite on Saturday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Florida.
Sophomore twins Connor Krug and Jake Krug both tallied wins during the second day of the tournament.
C. Krug bested Florida’s Tanapatt Nirundorn 6-2, 6-3 in the second round of the singles event, while J. Krug defeated Miami’s Antonio Prat 6-3, 6-1 in the third round. Junior Andrew Dale also saw action on Saturday but dropped both of his singles matches to Lukas Greif of Florida and Franco Aubone of Miami.
All three are back in action on Sunday for 8 a.m. doubles matches. Dale and J. Krug team up to battle Quinn Snyder and Luca Hotze of Central Florida, while C. Krug will compete with Florida’s Will grant against North Florida’s Jonas Hartenstein and Rodrigo Crespo.
There will be one final round of doubles play and one round of singles action on Sunday to wrap up the tournament.
