Blue Devils Win Seventh Straight with 7-0 Win Over Boston College

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The 10th-ranked Duke women’s tennis team collected their seventh-straight win on Sunday with a 7-0 victory over Boston College on the road at The Weymouth Club in Weymouth, Mass.

Senior Chloe Beck registered her 23rd-consecutive ACC victory, which snapped the previous Duke record of 22 by Vanessa Webb (1995-99).  Beck, who is from Watkinsville, Ga., is now 32-2 over her career in ACC dual match action.  The Blue Devils moved to 18-2 overall and 7-1 in the ACC, while the Eagles dropped to 9-8, 2-7.  

How It Happened

•    Duke’s 31st-ranked duo of Chloe Beck and Cameron Morra continued their impressive play in doubles with a 6-0 victory over Laura Lopez and Marice Aguiar on court one. It marked their seventh straight win.  

•    The Blue Devils secured the doubles point on court two as Emma Jackson and Karolina Berankova totaled a 6-3 win over Hailey Wilcox and Seren Agar.  Jackson/Berankova trailed 2-1 early, but won four straight games to take a 5-2 lead and eventually registered the win.  

•    The Duke tandem of Georgia Drummy and Iuliia Bryzgalova remained unbeaten with a 6-2 win over Sophia Edwards and Stephanie Sanchez on court three.  Edwards and Sanchez went ahead 2-0, but the Blue Devils stormed back to win six straight games and take the victory.  

•    Duke won the first set on all six singles courts.

•    The Blue Devils put their second point on the board with a 6-1, 6-1 win by Bryzgalova against Agar on court five.  

•    Morra won her fifth match out of the last six contests with a 6-2, 6-2 win on…
