Alex Aney closed out the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic with two wins Sunday at the Hogan Tennis Center.
SAN DIEGO – The California men’s tennis team concluded play in the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic on Sunday, with Alex Aney winning in singles and partnering with fellow sophomore Ethan Schiffman to win in doubles at the Hogan Tennis Center.
Aney defeated UC Irvine’s Max Fardanesh 6-2, 6-3. Schiffman and Aney beat the Anteaters’ Fardanesh and Rithvik Krishna 7-6(6).
Cal senior Carl Emil Overbeck plays in they singles main draw of the Solano Challenger starting Monday in Fairfield.
