Badgers take down Purdue on the road


Box Score MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women’s tennis team began its weekend on the road with a 4-3 win over Purdue on Saturday.
 
After dropping the doubles point, the Badgers (15-8, 7-3 Big) battled back in singles play to defeat the Boilermakers (11-11, 3-7 Big).
  
Junior Xinyu Cai got things started, earning UW its first singles point and get the Badgers on the board. 
 
Alina Mukhortova and Charmaine Seah continued the team’s momentum with singles wins. Antonela Stoica clinched the Badgers win after forcing her match to three sets to defeat Purdue’s Rut Galindo, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
