DURHAM – In October, Duke women’s tennis head coach Jamie Ashworth added Daniel Leitner as an assistant coach on the Blue Devil staff. Leitner arrived in Durham, after spending the past five seasons at Iowa where he helped the Hawkeyes make exceptional strides with their program.
Leitner is a 2017 graduate of Middle Tennessee State where he helped lead the Blue Raiders to a top-50 national ranking and earned a Master of Science in Leisure and Sport Management degree.
Recently Leitner sat down with GoDuke.com to get to know the native of Germany.
Leitner and the Blue Devils will next take the courts on Saturday, January 28 for the ITA Kickoff against VCU inside the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center at 10 a.m., in Durham.
