Ashworth Announces Fall Schedule - Duke University


DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women’s tennis head coach Jamie Ashworth announced Tuesday the 2024 fall schedule, which includes six dates over the months of September, October and November.   
 
The Blue Devils open the season in Chapel Hill for the UNC Invitational Sept. 13-15.
 
Duke will next stay local in Cary for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championship Sept. 21-29 at the Cary Tennis Park. 
 
The Blue Devils return to Chapel Hill for the next two tournaments – The ITA Regional Championship (Oct. 17-21) and the ITA Sectional Championship (Nov. 7-10).  Duke will also compete Nov. 7-10 in the ITA Conference Masters Championship in San Diego, California, as well. 
 
The NCAA Individual Championship moves to the fall season for the first time in 2024 and will mark the conclusion of the fall season Nov. 18-24 in Waco, Texas and hosted by Baylor. 
 
In the ITA preseason rankings that were released recently, Duke featured six Blue Devils in the singles rankings — sophomore Shavit Kimchi (38), senior Emma Jackson (41), junior Katie Codd (49), senior Ellie Coleman (53) and sophomore Eleana Yu (73) were ranked.  Freshman Irina Balus was also listed No. 10 in the newcomer singles ledger. 
 
Duke also featured two doubles teams ranked – Jackson/Yu (58) and Kimchi/Coleman (61). 
 
Other events could be added as well during the fall for qualifying purposes.
