DURHAM – Duke women’s tennis head coach Jamie Ashworth has announced the addition of three transfers that have signed scholarship agreements to attend Duke and play for the Blue Devils in 2022-23.
The incoming transfers are three student-athletes that have played No. 1 singles at one point in their career – Iuliia Bryzgalova (Penn), Cameron Morra (North Carolina) and Brianna Shvets (Princeton).
“We’re unbelievably fortunate to have Iuliia, Cameron and Brianna coming in,” said Ashworth. “All three have played high in lineups, have had great success on the national level and have been former number one players at their respective programs. So, we’re excited to have that depth in our program. We lost some great, quality players and we feel very lucky to have these three joining our program. All three are going to have tremendous roles and success in the future of this program. We had a really good and exciting year this past season. It wasn’t something that we’re satisfied with. We want to keep building, getting better, and improving. We really feel that with the addition of these Iuliia, Cameron and Brianna that we’re taking steps in the right direction.”
