Under Gaudenzi’s guidance, the ATP implemented large reforms in the organization. That included the OneVision strategic plan to establish new foundations in the sport’s growth. The plan, which started in 2023, is responsible for generating the largest single year increase in player revenue up to US $37.5 million for both the ATP Tour and Challenger Tour.
“OneVision has strengthened the ATP’s foundation, fostering a genuine partnership between players and tournaments,” Gaudenzi said. “As we enter the second phase of our strategy, I am more convinced than ever that our sport has huge upside, and that we are well positioned to take advantage of the digital age.
“Together with the ATP Board and our members, I am committed to making our vision a reality in the coming years.”
Under his tenure, Gaudenzi has had to navigate multiple challenges over the last several years including the global pandemic and the rising influence of the newly formed Professional Tennis Players Association.
Gaudenzi, a former ATP player, reached a career high world ranking of No. 18. After retiring from playing, he earned both a law degree and a Master’s of Business Administration and then worked in various tech, gaming, entertainment roles before returning to tennis.
