Alabama Women’s Tennis Returns Home Saturday to Take on UAB


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After two weeks on the road, the Alabama women’s tennis team returns to Tuscaloosa to host UAB. The Crimson Tide (3-2) will compete against Blazers (2-2) Saturday at noon CT at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.

Admission to all Alabama home tennis matches is free.

  • In doubles, Loudmilla Bencheikh and Ola Pitak remain undefeated through three matches
  • So far this season, the Crimson Tide has clinched the doubles point in three of its five matches

  • UAB enters the match with a 2-2 record 
  • The Blazers are coming off a win after downing North Alabama, 4-1, on Wednesday
  • The Crimson Tide and the Blazers will go head-to-head for the 28th time in series history with Alabama a 26-1 advantage 
  • Alabama won the last meeting in 2022, 6-1
  • Annalisa Smith leads UAB in singles with a 2-1 record
  • In doubles, Sydney Clarke and Maggie White lead the team with a 3-1 record at the top of the lineup
