TUSLCOSSA, ALA. – The Alabama women’s tennis team will co-host their season opener tournament Friday with the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall Tournament. The Crimson Tide will compete against athletes from Florida State, UAB, Illinois, South Alabama at the three-day tournament.
Matches will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday – Sunday starting with singles at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
The Tournament
- Alabama Four In The Fall will be played at The University of Alabama Tennis Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
- Alabama will play against members from Florida State, UAB, Illinois, South Alabama
- Matches will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday – Sunday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

The Crimson Tide
- Petra Sedlackova and Loudmilla Bencheikh, coming in at 54th and 62th in singles, respectively, and Sedlackova and Anna Parkhomenko, ranked 25th in doubles
- Last season Bencheikh and Sedlackova were recognized by the Southeastern Conference for their performance on the court as Bencheikh earned first-team conference honors and Sedlackova earned second-team and all-freshman honors
- The team upset then-No. 10 Georgia in a 4-3 victory to record both its first win over the Bulldogs and first win against a top-10 opponent since UA defeated then-No. 6 UGA 5-2 in 2015
- The Crimson Tide opened last year with nine consecutive wins, recording a 9-0 start for the first time since 2018
