Alabama Women’s Tennis Hits the Road to Face San Diego State, UC San Diego


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women’s tennis heads to San Diego for its first road matches of the season, facing San Diego State (Jan. 27) and UC San Diego (Jan. 28). The Crimson Tide (2-0) opens the weekend against the Aztecs (0-1) at 4 p.m. CT on Friday before concluding the trip with the Tritons (2-1) at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday.

Live stats and livestream will not be available for Alabama’s match against UC San Diego.

        Sedlackova is coming off a strong fall that was highlighted by her second consecutive appearance in the semifinals for singles at ITA Southern Regional Championships

        Additionally, Sedlackova and Bencheikh competed at the ITA All-American Championships

        The Aztecs are 0-1 after falling to then-No. 14 Southern California last weekend in SDSU’s season opener

        Friday’s meeting will be the second time Alabama and San Diego State have met on the court

        Alabama won the lone meeting on Jan. 31, 2020, with a 5-2 victory

        SDSU is coming off a successful 2022 season which included the Mountain West Tournament title and an NCAA tournament appearance

        The team returns five players from the 2022 squad, including Andjela Skrobonja who ranks 88th in singles heading into the weekend
