TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women’s tennis heads to San Diego for its first road matches of the season, facing San Diego State (Jan. 27) and UC San Diego (Jan. 28). The Crimson Tide (2-0) opens the weekend against the Aztecs (0-1) at 4 p.m. CT on Friday before concluding the trip with the Tritons (2-1) at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday.

• The Aztecs are 0-1 after falling to then-No. 14 Southern California last weekend in SDSU’s season opener
• Friday’s meeting will be the second time Alabama and San Diego State have met on the court
• Alabama won the lone meeting on Jan. 31, 2020, with a 5-2 victory
• SDSU is coming off a successful 2022 season which included the Mountain West Tournament title and an NCAA tournament appearance
• The team returns five players from the 2022 squad, including Andjela Skrobonja who ranks 88th in singles heading into the weekend
