FORT WORTH, Texas – The Alabama women’s tennis program (3-2) fell to TCU (3-0) at the H. Friedman Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
The Horned Frogs took the lead early after securing the doubles point over the Crimson Tide. UA pair Ola Pitak and Kasia were leading on court three, 5-3, when the point was secured. TCU went on to capture wins on courts one, three and two in singles play to earn the 4-0 victory.
The Match
- TCU clinched the doubles point with wins on courts two and one
- UA pair Ola Pitak and Kasia Pitak were leading on court three, 5-3, when the point was clinched
- Tiphanie Lemaitre defeated Alabama’s Petra Sedlackova on court one to take the first singles point (6-3, 6-1)
- Jade Otway went 6-2, 6-2 on court three to move TCU out 3-0 before Mercedes Aristegui clinched the match for the Horned Frogs, winning 6-2, 7-6 (6) on court two over UA’s Loudmilla Bencheikh
- Anna Parkhomenko (court four) and Klara Milicevic (court five) both forced a third set before TCU took the deciding point
