TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– The Alabama men’s tennis team ended day two with two doubles teams earning a win during Friday’s competition at the ITA Southern Regional Championships at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Doubles Main Draw
- Joao Ferreira and Roan Jones took on Southern Miss’ Taras Ignatiuk and Olimjon Nabiev in the round of 64
- The UA pair came out on top, 9-7, to earn a spot in the next round of events
- In his debut, Matias Ponce De Leon and doubles partner Enzo Aguiard recorded a win
- Ponce De Leon and Aquiard came out victorious over Carles Anton and Nicolas Simkin of Troy, 8-2, advancing to the next round at 9 a.m.
