Women’s Tennis Falls to #18 UCLA

LOS ANGELES– In a tough road test for No. 33 Women’s Tennis, the Sun Devils (8-7, 0-3 Pac-12) could not solve No. 18 UCLA (8-3, 4-0 Pac-12) on Friday afternoon at the LA Tennis Center.
 
Marianna Argyrokastriti and Emilija Tverijonaite picked up a doubles win via a retirement on Court 3 for the Bruins, but the Sun Devils fell in their doubles matches on Courts 1 and 2 to give UCLA the lone doubles point.

With the Sun Devils needing to steal four of six singles matches, UCLA picked up wins on Courts 1 and 5 to build a commanding 3-0 lead. Elise Wagle and the Bruins clinched the match moments later with a win on Court 4.
