Angelica Blake and Alexis Blokhina clinched the doubles point for Stanford with a 7-5 victory on court two over the Arizona duo of Belen Nevenhoven and Martyna Ostrzygalo.
The Cardinal also handled all six singles matches to secure the sweep, its first 7-0 result in conference since last season against the Wildcats on March 31.
Alexandra Yepifanova didn’t play singles, so Alexis Blokhina, Katherine Hui and Valencia Xu all moved up one spot and India Houghton took on Teja Tirunelveli on court six. It was Houghton who delieverd the clincher, her third of the season, with a 7-5, 6-2 win.
Blake collected her second consecutive ranked win and moved to 4-3 against ranked opponents this season with a 7-6 (4), 6-0 victory over No. 123 Reece Carter on court one, while Connie Ma upped her win streak to 10 with a 6-2, 6-2 result at No. 2 over Kayla Wilkins.
Stanford is off next weekend before resuming its conference slate at home on Saturday, March 23 against Colorado.
