CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois men’s tennis is sending seven members to the ITA All-American Championships starting Sept. 30-Oct. 8 in Tulsa, Okla., on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
Prequalifying will be Sept. 30-Oct.1, with qualifying running Oct. 2-3 and main draw from Oct. 4-8.
2023 NCAA All-Americans Hunter Heck and Karlis Ozolins will be competing in the doubles main draw. The duo qualified for the main draw from their No. 23 finish at the end of the 2023 season.
Ozolins will also be in the singles main draw, joining sophomore Kenta Miyoshi, who is fresh off his Milwaukee Tennis Classic victory. Miyoshi won a wild-card spot for the main draw after winning the ITA Summer Championships in August.
Oliver Okonkwo and Lucas Horve will play in the doubles prequalifying along with Miyoshi and Alex Petrov.
Petrov will also start his journey in the singles qualifying with Heck, while Okonkwo, Horve, William Mroz and Jeremy Zhang will start in the singles prequalifying.
