WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – No. 34 ranked Illinois women’s tennis (10-5) is set to visit No. 44 Purdue (11-3). The match will take place on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT, from the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Purdue marks the sixth match against a ranked team this season, with the Illini sitting at 2-3 in those outings.
The Illini already have five individuals with double-digit wins in singles play this season, including Kida Ferrari (11-6), Ashley Yeah (11-8), Kasia Treiber (11-10), Josie Frazier (10-8) and Megan Heuser (10-8).
On the doubles courts, Heuser and Kate Duong have won nine-consecutive matches. The duo is up to a 18-3 overall record on the season, which includes a 10-1 mark in dual play.
Last Time Out
The Orange and Blue faced No. 57 Arizona and New Mexico State. After dropping the first contest to the Wildcats 4-0, the Illini bounced back with a dominant 5-0 win over the Aggies.

Illinois leads the all-time series 37-31 against Purdue, with the most recent outing resulting in a 4-2 home win for the Illini.
Illinois has not lost to the Boilermakers since April 25, 2014, currently nine-straight victories.

Head coach Evan Clark is in his eighth year as the head coach of Illinois women’s tennis and holds an overall dual record of 107-72 (.598) and is 52-25 (.675) in Big Ten play during his time as an Illini.
The Illini are coming off a 16-9 season with an 8-3 Big Ten record in 2021-22.
Illinois returns seven of its eight players from last season, including seniors Emily Casati, Josie Frazier, and Ashley Yeah; junior Kate Duong; and sophomores Kida Ferrari, Megan Heuser, and Kasia Treiber. The Illini also welcomed new freshman Violeta Martinez to the squad.

Illinois will be back home next weekend as the squad takes on Michigan State on Friday, March 31, at 4 p.m. CT, and Michigan on Sunday, April 2, at 11 a.m.
The Orange and Blue’s matchup against the Spartans will also fall on National Crayon Day, so in honor of the occasion, the Illini will be hosting a Color the Court. Tennis-themed coloring pages will be handed out to fans.
