Alabama Takes On Oklahoma in First Round of Blue Gray National Tennis Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ––The No. 38 Alabama men’s tennis team opens the two-day Blue Gray National Tennis Classic on Friday against No. 41 Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide (8-2) will go head-to-head with the Sooners (6-3) at 12:30 p.m. CT at Lagoon Park.  

Admission to the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic is free.

The Tournament

The Blue Gray National Tennis Classic

• Eight teams will face off in the tournament as the event features Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Middle Tennessee, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Tulane
• Alabama last won the tournament in 2016 after defeating Princeton in the finals
• UA is one of seven teams ranked in the tournament as the Crimson Tide enters the weekend ranked 38^th in the ITA rankings
• Additionally, the tournament will feature No. 14 Arizona, No. 25 Middle Tennessee, No. 36 Auburn, No. 41 Oklahoma, No. 44 Texas Tech and No. 75 Nebraska
