Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska women’s tennis team will host its first double header of the season as it takes on Gonzaga, Saturday at 10 a.m. CT and North Dakota at 4 p.m. CT. at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. The matches will be played indoors, and the live stream stats will be available on huskers.com. Updates will also be posted @HuskerWTennis on Twitter.
Scouting Gonzaga
• The Bulldogs finished last season with an 8-14 record, including a 2-7 conference record.
• This year marks Natalie Pluskota-Hamberg’s third season as Head Coach.
• This is Assistant Coach Caitlyn Williams first season with the Bulldogs.
• The Bulldogs have a balanced roster with two freshmen, one sophomore, two juniors and four seniors.
• Cate Broerman is the only ranked Gonzaga player and is ranked at No. 115.
Series History
• The only time the Huskers faced the Bulldogs was in 2019. Gonzaga won the match 4-1.
Scouting North Dakota
• The Fighting Hawks finished the 2022 season with an 11-11 overall record, including a 4-3 conference record.
• Tom Boysen, former Nebraska men’s tennis assistant coach, is in his second season at North Dakota.
• This season marks Assistant Coach Kyle Anderson’s ninth year with the Hawks.
• This year, North Dakota’s roster has one freshman, two sophomores, two juniors and three seniors.
Series History
• Nebraska is 3-0 all-time against North Dakota.
• The last time Nebraska met North Dakota on the court was in 2019. Nebraska won the match 5-0.
