STANFORD, Calif. – No. 7 Stanford notched its second sweep in as many days to advance out of ITA Kickoff Weekend and earn a spot at the ITA Indoor Nationals in February. The Cardinal dispatched Florida State 4-0 in a battle of two unbeaten squads.

Angelica Blake and Alexis Blokhina continued their winning ways on the top doubles court, blanking the Seminoles 6-0, and after a 6-3 defeat on court two, Sara Choy and Connie Ma clinched the first point on court three, 6-3.

The Cardinal won four first sets in singles and its lead jumped from 1-0 to 3-0 in a matter of seconds, as Connie Ma and Sara Choy finished within a minute of each other on courts two and five, respectively. Needing just one more win to close it out, Alexandra Yepifanova delivered on court one, notching a ranked victory, 6-2, 7-5.

Before the Cardinal hits the road to Seattle, Stanford will host Pepperdine in a top-10 match next Saturday, Feb. 4 at 12 p.m.
