#24 Northwestern Hits the Road for ITA Kickoff Weekend

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 24 Northwestern men’s tennis travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan for ITA Kickoff Weekend to take on Arkansas on Saturday, January 28. The Wildcats will follow that up by taking on either No. 4 Michigan or Cal Poly on Sunday.

Last Saturday, the Wildcats suffered a 4-0 loss of the season at Louisville, their first loss of the season. The loss moved NU’s record to 3-1 on the year.

Trice Pickens and Natan Spear will look to protect their unblemished 3-0 doubles record, while Steven Forman (1-0), Trice Pickens (2-0), and Ivan Yatsuk (3-0) all look to stay perfect at singles.

Arkansas moved to a perfect 5-0 on the season after defeating Oral Roberts on Wednesday. The Razorbacks duo of Adrien Burdet and Alan Sau are the 60th ranked doubles team nationally according to the most recent ITA Rankings. Live stats and live streams can be accessed at the link above.

Michigan and Cal Poly round out the Michigan Regional, and will play at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday morning. The winners of the Saturday’s dual matches will play at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, with a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Chicago on the line.
