EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The Rutgers tennis team (3-0) downed Drexel (1-1) 6-1 on Friday afternoon at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.

The Scarlet Knights won the singles point before winning five of six singles matches to clinch the win.

“I was really pleased with our performance today, especially coming out to strong in doubles” head coach Hilary Ritchie said. “I think Arina (Valitova) and Jackie (Lopez) played great and were focused to finish out the match. In singles, we continued to play offense which has been good to see. When we are not in good positions, we come back and making sure we can turn those sets around.”
