TEMPE, Ariz. – Following the conclusion of a solid slate of fall action, NC State women’s tennis has four singles players and two doubles pairs featured in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings that were released Wednesday.
The Wolfpack is one of three schools with at least three players in the singles Top 25 as Alana Smith (No. 13), Amelia Rajecki (No. 23) and Abigail Rencheli (No. 25) lead the way. Sophie Abrams (No. 97) also popped into the singles rankings after her fall season.
In doubles, Rajecki and Nell Miller are the nation’s eighth-ranked duo, and Rencheli and Abrams check in at No. 60.
The singles rankings marked career highs for both Smith and Rajecki, with Rajecki’s marking the first time in her career that she has been featured on the singles list.
She and doubles partner Miller cracked the Top 10 of the doubles rankings after a historic fall season that was highlighted by te program’s first-ever doubles title at the ITA All-American Championships in October.
