Alabama Men’s Tennis Set to Co-Host First Fall Tournament


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men’s and women’s tennis teams will co-host the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall Tournament this weekend at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The Crimson Tide men will compete against athletes from Georgia, Louisville, Tulane and Mercer at the three-day tournament, with matches beginning at 11:30 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday then 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The Tournament

  • Alabama Four in The Fall will be played at The University of Alabama Tennis Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
  • The Tide will play against members from Georgia, Louisville, Tulane and Mercer
  • Matches will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday then 10a.m on Sunday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium

  • No. 33 Filip Planinsek and German Samofalov finished their opening weekend with two wins
  • Zach Foster and Enzo Aguiard defeated Notre Dame’s No. 19 Ondrej Styler and Gavin Young 6-3
  • Freshmen Roan Jones comes into this weekend’s tournament undefeated in singles

Up Next

  • Alabama heads to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the ITA All-American Championship. The tournament will begin Monday, Oct. 3 and will run through Sunday, Oct.9.
