Six From WTEN Named ITA Scholar-Athletes


CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina, the three-time defending ITA National Team Indoor Champions, has seen six of its standout women’s tennis players earn ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction, while the team once again garnered ITA All-Academic Team status for the 2021-22 season.

Fiona Crawley, Kacie Harvey, Sara McClure, Cameron Morra, Elizabeth Scotty and Lindsay Zink all represented Carolina on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list.

Harvey, Morra and Scotty earn the honor for the third-straight year, while Crawley and McClure land on the team for the second year in a row. Zink is a first-time honoree in her freshman season with the Tar Heels.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
