COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s tennis 2025 spring schedule has officially been released, announced by head coach Josh Goffi on Monday. The campaign consists of 14 conference matchups as well as the ITA Kickoff Weekend which takes place at Florida State. Additionally, the Gamecocks will host the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2016 at the Carolina Tennis Center.
The Garnet & Black open their schedule at home, welcoming Furman and Citadel to the Carolina Indoor Tennis Center on Jan. 12. Four days later on Jan. 16 the Gamecocks host the University of Virginia.
The Gamecocks then head to Jacksonville, Florida for the first road match of the season against North Florida on Jan. 21.
On Jan. 24 South Carolina faces San Diego in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend tournament. The Gamecocks will then take on either Florida State or UNCW for the next round on Jan. 25. The winner of that match advances to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship which takes place the following month on Feb. 14-18 in Dallas or Waco Texas.
The Gamecocks return home on Jan. 29 to host Queens and the College of Charleston before heading to Clemson for an annual rivalry matchup on Feb. 7.
The team begins SEC play at home for the second consecutive season, welcoming Alabama on Feb. 22. The Gamecocks then have a quick turnaround, hosting Auburn two days later on Feb. 24 before heading back on the road to open March with a trip to Kentucky on the 2nd.
On March 6 the Garnet & Black take on Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee and then travel to Ole Miss for a match on March 8. The team returns home the following week to host Arkansas on March 13 and Oklahoma on March 15.
The following four matches are on the road for the Gamecocks starting with LSU on March 21 and then Mississippi State on March 23. The team spends a couple days in Texas, facing Texas A&M on March 28 before taking on the University of Texas on March 30.
The team kicks off April with three final matches at home to wrap up the regular season beginning with Tennessee on the 3rd before welcoming Georgia on the 5th and Florida on the 12th.
South Carolina is slated to host the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2016 and third since 1997. The event takes place April 16-20 at the Carolina Tennis Center.
South Carolina went 19-15 overall last season with a 4-8 record in conference matches, finishing with a final ranking of No. 16 in the country. During championship season, the Gamecocks made…
