CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Individual Singles and Doubles Championships will kick off this week, November 19-24, at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
This is the first year of a two-year plan for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be held in the spring.
The ACC had 20 individuals selected for the 64-player singles field.
Duke will have four individuals compete in the singles championship, while California, North Carolina, Stanford and Virginia each had three players chosen for singles play. Stanford’s Valerie Glozman (No. 5 seed) and Connie Ma (No. 7 seed) both earned a top-10 seed for the championship.
The singles tournament will begin with the Round of 64 on Tuesday and culminate with the national championship match on Sunday.
In doubles, the ACC will have nine pairs set to compete, headlined by the No. 2-seeded duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo of NC State.
Doubles play is slated to start on Wednesday with the Round of 32 teams and will end with the crowning of national champions on Sunday.
