Daniil Medvedev makes four at this year’s ATP Finals in Turin.
The Russian became the fourth player to officially qualify on Tuesday, joining Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev as half of the eight-player singles field.
The 28-year-old, who is still seeking his first title of 2024, is a former champion at the ATP Finals. He won the title in 2020, and was runner-up in 2021.
The 20-time ATP title winner reached the final at this year’s Australian Open, his sixth career major final, but fell to Jannik Sinner in five sets.
He is 11-9 lifetime at the ATP Finals.
Taylor Fritz, Novak Djokovic, Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev are currently in position to qualify for Turin, but there are others in the mix, with the 1000 point Paris Masters coming next week as well as ATP 500 events in Basel and Vienna this week.
The ATP Finals will be staged in Turin from Nov 13-20.
Alex de Minaur, Tommy Paul and Grigor Dimitrov are all relatively close to the eighth spot.
