CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  Virginia women’s tennis team members will compete at the ITA Atlantic Regional Singles and Doubles Championships being held at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort.

Qualifying singles matches will be played on Thursday (Oct. 17). Main draw singles and doubles matches begin on Friday (Oct. 18). The tournament runs through Tuesday, Oct. 22. Admission is free. Live stats are not available but there will be live video streams of the court action.

The Cavaliers will begin play on Friday in main draw singles and doubles matches.

Virginia has the top four seeds in the singles draw in [1] Annabelle Xu, [2] Sara Ziodato, [3] Elaine Chervinksy and [4] Melodie Collard. Blanca Pico Navarro, Martina Genis Salas and Zara Larke are all 9-16 seeds.

Virginia also has four seeded doubles teams: [1] Chervinsky and Collard, [2] Meggie Navarro and Ziodato, [3] Xu and Genis Salas, and [5] Larke and Pico Navarro.

The two singles finalists from each region will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.

Thursday, Oct. 17th:
1st round of singles qualifying (32 matches outdoors)
2nd round of singles qualifying (16 matches outdoors)
Singles qualifying back-draw (16 matches indoors/outdoors)

Friday, Oct. 18th:
1st round of main draw singles (32 matches outdoors)
1st round of main draw doubles (32 matches 8 game pro sets)

Saturday, Oct. 19th:
2nd round main draw singles (16 matches outdoors)
Back-draw 1st round singles (16 matches indoors)
3rd round main draw singles (8 matches outdoors)
2nd round main draw doubles (16 matches outdoors 8 game pro sets)

Sunday, Oct. 20th:
Quarterfinal singles (4 matches outdoors)
Rd. of 16 doubles (8 matches outdoors 8 game pro sets)
Quarterfinal doubles (4 matches 8 game pro sets)

Monday, Oct. 21st:
Semi-final singles (2 matches outdoors)
Semi-finals doubles (2 matches outdoors 2 out of 3 sets with 10 point breaker for third)

Tuesday, Oct. 22nd:
Final and ¾ playoff singles (2 matches outdoors)
Final doubles (1 match outdoors 2 out of 3 sets with 10 point breaker for the third)
