Men’s Tennis To Play At Navy Blue Invite This Weekend – Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team is geared up to play at the Navy Blue Invite, hosted by Navy, this weekend. The tournament is set to begin Friday Oct. 11 and conclude on Sunday Oct. 13.
Sophomores Nolan Ranger and Alexander Sterin and freshmen Denys Forgaci and Shrikeshav Murugesan will represent the Blue and White. The squad will compete in both singles and doubles matches with both duos of Sterin/Forgaci and Ranger/Murugesan partnering together again.
In last weekend’s tournament at Yale, Murugesan went 2-1 in singles, including a 7-5, 6-4 win over NJIT’s Soma Fukuhara. Forgaci also captured a win against Fukuhara, 6-2, 6-4.
Nine additional teams will make appearances at the tournament including Binghampton, Georgetown, Harford CC, Loyola, Milligan, Morgan State, Navy, NJIT and Princeton.
