Freshman USC women’s tennis player Jana Hossam has earned USC’s first Big Ten Tennis Player of the Week Award following an undefeated weekend at home. The award was announced by the conference on Wed., Oct. 9.
During her Marks Stadium debut, Hossam claimed the singles title after going 4-0 in match play. Hossam was the only player competing at the event to record four singles wins, three of which came after grueling tiebreaks.
The 17-year-old Alexandria, Egypt native also picked up a doubles win alongside her partner Parker Fry to finish the weekend 5-0 overall.
