Duke Set for ITA Carolina Regional Championship


DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men’s tennis hosts the 2024 ITA Carolina Regional Championship this weekend at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
 
The singles qualifying, singles main and doubles main draw each will include 64 entries. The qualifying draw will be on Thursday, with the singles and doubles main draws beginning on Friday.
 
Representing Duke this weekend will be Oscar Brown, Remy Dugardin, Saahith Jayaraman, Connor Krug, Jake Krug, Sam Landau, Gerard Planelles Ripoll, Pedro Rodenas, Teddy Truwit, Alexander Visser, Cooper Williams and Theo Winegar.
 
Four of Duke’s qualifying singles were seeded – Winegar (3), Dugardin (10), Truwit (12) and Jake Krug (14), while Williams earned the top seed (1), followed by Rodenas (2) and Planelles Ripoll (7) in the singles main draw. Rodenas/Planelles Ripoll (3), Winegar/Landau (12) and Connor/Jake Krug (16) rounded out Duke’s seeds in the doubles competition.
