East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State men’s tennis is back to work this weekend in hosting the ITA Regional tournament.
Spartans have been competing at various tournaments leading up to this weekend but will be back as a team in East Lansing.
Match play will be held on Thursday through Monday Oct. 10-14 at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center with matches starting at 9 a.m. each day.
Qualifying matches begin on Thursday, where freshmen Mitchell Sheldon and Danial Rakhmatullayev will compete for spots in the Main Draw with their teammates.
Main Draw Singles and Doubles begin on Friday with finals being held Monday.
Juniors Ozan Baris (#1 seed), Aristotelis Thanos and David Saye, seniors Josh Portnoy and Max Sheldon, sophomore Taym Alazmeh, along with freshman Matthew Forbes will compete in the Main Draw for the Spartans this weekend.
This is the first time Michigan State will be hosting the regional tournament since 2021.
