RALEIGH – 9th-ranked NC State women’s tennis (6-1, 1-0 ACC) is headed to the 2nd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (7-2) home court to battle out a top-10 matchup for the first time this season. The first serve is set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio.

This past Friday, the team walked away from their first ACC matchup of the season with a victory 7-0 shut out over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Rankings Update:
NC State women’s tennis climbed back into the single-digit rankings as they were awarded a No.9 ranking after being at No. 10 for two consecutive weeks.
The ITA released updated rankings for doubles and singles on Feb. 21 which increased its number of featured squad members. Nell Miller and Amelia Rajecki remained at No. 5 in doubles for the second week in a row. Diana Shnaider and Alana Smith shot up into the top-25, as they landed at No. 23 after only two weeks of play together. In singles, five individual players found themselves in the rankings yet again with two of them being inside the top 25. Alana Smith (No. 15), Amelia Rajecki (No. 17), Abigail Rencheli (No. 51), Diana Shnaider (No. 52) and Sophie Abrams (No. 64) continue to boast the talent held among the program.

Following this weekend’s action, the Wolfpack is returning home for their first hosting of an ACC matchup this season to take on Georgia Tech next Friday, March 3rd at 3 p.m.
