2023 ACC Men's Tennis Championship Field Set


GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Virginia earned the top seed for the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Championship, which opens Wednesday, April 19 at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina. The Cavaliers finished up the ACC slate with a perfect 12-0 mark and earned the No. 1 spot for the third year in a row.
 
The top four seeds all picked up double byes into the Friday quarterfinals. Virginia is followed by No. 2 seed Duke, No. 3 NC state and No. 4 North Carolina.
 
Wednesday’s lone first-round match finds No. 12 Clemson facing No. 13 Boston College at 3:30 p.m.
 
Second-round play will be held Thursday, starting at 3:30 p.m. with No. 8 Miami versus No. 9 Georgia Tech and No. 5 Florida State versus the Clemson-Boston College winner. At 6 p.m., No. 7 Louisville takes on No. 10 Notre Dame and No. 6 Wake Forest faces off with No. 11 Virginia Tech.
 
The quarterfinals start at 3:30 p.m. Friday with top-seeded Virginia facing off with the Miami-Georgia Tech winner and No. 4 North Carolina battling Boston College, Clemson or Florida State. The 6 p.m. quarterfinals feature No. 2 Duke playing the Louisville-Notre Dame winner and No. 3 NC State battling the Wake Forest-Virginia Tech winner.
 
The semifinals will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the championship match slated for 2 p.m. Sunday.
 
The Saturday semifinal match featuring the highest remaining seed and the Sunday championship match will broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
 
Single day tickets are priced at $10 for adults (ages 18 and older; children under 9 and ACC students get in free with school ID) and $7 for youth ages 17 and under. A full Championship pass for all five days is priced at $25. Tickets may be purchased online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/11254. All seating for the tournament is General Admission.
