Women’s Tennis Set to Compete at UNC Kitty Harrison Invitational – Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Women’s Tennis travels to Chapel Hill for the UNC Kitty Harrison Invitational from Friday, Sept. 13 to Sunday, Sept. 15. It will be the first of six tournaments on the fall schedule.
Penn State will be joined by Charlotte, Duke, Florida, North Carolina, Old Dominion, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
The team returns six members from the 2023-24 squad, including three who picked up victories at last season’s UNC Kitty Harrison Invitational. Olivia Dorner racked up two singles wins, while Yvonne Zuffova earned another. The two paired up for a doubles victory in the consolation round. Jordina Cegarra won a doubles match as well. The rest of the team will compete in the UNC Kitty Harrison Invitational for the first time in their careers.
Dorner and junior Maiko Uchijima enter the tournament as the No. 49 doubles pair in the ITA preseason rankings.
